Lunch will be served at two sittings on Saturday and Sunday. The first sitting begins at 11.45 am and ends at 1.15 pm. The second sitting begins at 1.30 pm. There are no time limits on the second sitting.
Our lunch menu consists of either three courses or main course with pudding. Those choosing three courses will select their starter from the menu and this will be delivered from the kitchen. When you are ready for main course go to our buffet servery where you can help yourself from the wonderful range of food below. Those having two courses just go to the buffet servery when ready.
Pudding is also served buffet style allowing you a great choice of mouth watering sweet things, and every one is deliberately small allowing you to take more than one!
Our Show lunch is always very popular allowing our guests a wide choice of great food and the freedom to pace their lunch visit according to their own timetable, please bear in mind however that first sitting tables must be vacated by 1.15 pm.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first paid basis.
Heirloom tomato salad with baby mozzarella, micro basil & nut free pesto drizzle
Pressed terrine of chicken and pork in pancetta with piccallili gel & pickled baby garden vegetables
Poached and smoked salmon pate with baby leaf salad & seeded crisps
Butternut squash soup with toasted pumpkin seeds
Cold roasted sirloin of beef served rare with salsa verde
Rare roasted duck salad with redcurrants & watercress
Poached breast of chicken with mango, yoghurt and coriander dressing
Poached side of salmon dressed simply and served with a chive hollandaise
Wigmore cheese (Risley, Berks) tart with mushrooms & herbs
Courgette and feta cakes with rainbow salsa
A delightful choice of salads & potatoes
Hot Dishes - available with all of the above
Poached chicken breast in a white wine & wild mushroom sauce and
Carbonade of beef with Mr Swift's Pale Ale, baby onions & carrots.
Warm baby new potatoes with butter.
Strawberries with clotted cream, meringues & shortbread
Vanilla pannacotta with strawberries
Rich chocolate pot with baby fudge
Lemon posset with lemon curd & baby meringues
Pretty little trifles with local fruits, creme anglais and lemon sponge
£32.00 per person 3 courses. £29.00 per person main course & pudding.
